Our Family Farm – Enneberg, Val Badia, South Tyrol

A farmhouse where family and guests come together

Perched high above Val Badia with uninterrupted views of the Dolomites, the Ferdigg family have created a welcoming farmhouse with a garden in the heart of South Tyrol. Their family has farmed this land for generations, through good times and challenging ones alike. Now they’re delighted to share it with you.

The people behind Lüch de Poldele

Lüch de Poldele is much more than a family-run farm – it’s a place shaped by people who put their heart into everything they do. Every member of the Ferdigg family plays their part, each in their own way and with their own strengths.

Daniel keeps the farm running, looking after the livestock, the fields and everything that happens outdoors. Angelika is a qualified massage therapist and beautician. She takes care of the apartments and prepares the breakfast baskets – and after a long day in the mountains, she’s also happy to soothe tired muscles with a relaxing massage.

Lois, Daniel’s father, helps with the farming while also running a craft business together with his brothers. His mother, Renate, works as a school cook. Nathan, Angelika and Daniel’s young son, is still at kindergarten, but he’s already as enthusiastic about helping on the farm as if he’d been doing it all his life. And then there’s Pisteo, the cat – practically another member of the family and always close by.

A farm with a story

Just outside Rina, with magnificent views of Sass de Putia, Cima Nove and Cima Dieci you’ll find Lüch de Poldele. There has always been a farmhouse here. The Ferdigg family farmed the land just as their parents had done before them. Life wasn’t always easy, but they were content with what they had.

Then lightning struck, and the fire that followed destroyed almost everything. Only the little chapel beside the farmhouse remained standing. The Ferdiggs refused to give up and rebuilt everything from the ground up. From then on, the farm became known as Lüch de Poldele. In 1998, the hay barn was extended. Since then, the farm has continued to grow, evolve and be lovingly developed over the years. Interestingly, nobody today knows where the name actually came from.

Now the next generation has taken another step forward by creating three new holiday apartments right on the farm, each with its own private sauna and whirlpool on the balcony or terrace. They were created out of a desire to share this special place and way of life with their guests. We hope you’ll love it here as much as we do.

Relax. Play. Simply enjoy the outdoors.

Loungers in the sunshine, with Sass de Putia, Cima Nove and Cima Dieci rising before you. That’s what a perfect day looks like. After a hike, after a massage or simply whenever you feel like unwinding, you’ll find a lawn beside the farmhouse with seating, sun loungers and a barbecue area, open to all guests.

There’s nowhere else you need to be. Simply arrive, sit back, breathe in the fresh mountain air and let the day come to a peaceful end. Right beside it, the children have a place of their own: a slide, sandpit, wooden playhouse and plenty of space to run, play and let off steam while the grown-ups finally get a chance to unwind.
